    Don't you just hate when...

    Posted: 14 May 2020 02:22 PM PDT

...you had a really bad day, so you want to go home by subway, but for some reason on your way home you end up fighting monsters in the underground passage and sewers and construction site and then you get into some apartment complex, that turns into hell and also you meet some guy who tells you about your past and such... and when you finally get home, you find your dad murdered, so you have to revange his death?!

    Well, that's a life I guess.

What do we think of Shattered Memories?

    Posted: 14 May 2020 06:39 PM PDT

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, because I was admittedly enticed by the psych profile gimmick. I thought it was alright, but it didn't really feel like a Silent Hill game to me. I also felt like the choice to make it a re-telling was really weird and they should have just made it a standalone story. What are your thoughts?

I've recently been playing Silent Hill for the first time, and a friend suggested I make this montage of me suffering the consequences of a mistake I made in Alchemilla Hospital. Enjoy.

People Who Want a New SH Game, How Do You Envision It?

    Posted: 14 May 2020 12:22 PM PDT

    Hello!

I know the question is pretty broad, so let me narrow down it a bit.

Do you believe it should be a reboot, a soft reboot or a direct sequel/prequel?

What's the story of the new game? Give examples of characters and events, if you like.

What could the main theme of the game be?

    How does the Otherworld work?

What connections should the game have with precious games, if it should at all? Maybe you have some fun Easter Eggs ideas, so don't be shy to give your view!

What gameplay should the game have?

What engine should the game use? Is there some major technical feature the game should showcase and utilize the most?

I want to make clear, that I am asking as I'm genially curious. But most importantly, I believe a new game shouldn't be made. I have my reasons to think so, but I feel like I have a one-sided view. That's why I come to you! Feel free to share your ideas no matter how crazy they might sound.

How much can i ask for a ps2 copy of OG silent hill 2?

    Posted: 14 May 2020 12:23 AM PDT

It comes with its original box and its booklet. I can confirm its the OG version so it doesnt have the maria prologue nor the dog ending that i read was added in later versions.

So you guys basically okay with the next SH being a yet another Third-Person/First-Person survival horror game like those recent Resident Evil refakes (not a typo), am I right in understanding your stance ?

    Posted: 14 May 2020 11:19 AM PDT

No identity, no personality, no uniqueness, no established standards. Just "a yet another FPS/TPS survival horror game # 28, Silent Hill motiff" game. Is that what you want ? And please, don't start the "games have to evolve" conversation. You can't even differentiate "evolution" from simple "change". So spare me that. Just a simple "Yes, I want the next Silent Hill to be a yet another over-the-shoulder shooter game with no retained original gameplay personality." or "Fuck no ! Tanky controls, floaty camera are in the basic genetic code of what Silent Hill is ! What are you, drunk ?!"

There won't be a debate. I just genuinely want to understand the stance of this supposed fanbase. To understand if I must leave it or not.
