I'm currently playing through silent hill 1 and I feel like I am a bit too stupid for this game and I want to know if I'll have the same problem with silent hill 2

EDIT: I am referring to the puzzles, not the story.

I'm a big architecture nerd and I always take note of the architectural details in game. Silent Hill 2 is particularly delightful because the beautiful tend to be quite accurate representations of American architecture. I especially like the layout of the apartments. They actually make organizational sense.

I havent played a silent hill game and have heard about it often, but I've also heard the silent hill hd collection is really bad, but how bad is it? I'm planning on playing the first one but what's the best way to continue after that, because I don't have a ps2 and dont know if the hd port ruins the experience completely
