    Started replaying my favorite game. I'm in the army and far away from my copy of SH2 for the PS2 so I settled for the HD collection (I know). I remember sitting in my pitch black living room and watching my mom play this game in 2002 when I was 7. Building a couch fort behind her in fear.

    I was playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 and found Akira Yamaoka and beat the crap out of him, I think it's a reference to our beloved Akira Yamaoka but they're not similar at all, but I still thought I'd share it with you guys. Anyway, he makes sick beats but he got beat sick (emoji wearing sunglasses)

    SPOILER!!! What is it about Shattered Memories that everyone dislikes? I avoided the game like the plague when it came out due to the reviews. I played it for the very first time the other day live, I absolutey loved it! The Psychological Profiling is an amazing mechanic I need to see more of!!!!

    Dusk Golem (primary source of SH rumours) retiring as leaker because of “personal guilt”. I bet it’s mainly due to the guilt he’s feeling due to spreading lies. He was called out for lying about the PS5... and today was the last possible day we might have seen a Silent Hill reveal.

    The entire hour was taken up by Eden Zero. Nearly fell asleep watching it.

    Needless to say, there was absolutely no mention of Silent Hill whatsoever, the event was clearly for shareholders as I saw a lot of people saying in the live chat.

    To those of you that still believed we would have an announcement here... please remove your clown costume. It was pretty much solidified that there is not a SH in development when we didn't see it at the PS5 event.

    Where is your Silent Hill, and what would it look like?

    I feel like everyone has a Silent Hill in their lives. Maybe it's your hometown, or a place you visited a lot when you were younger or a kid, that has gradually taken on a sad/dark vibe for whatever reason? What grim parts of your psyche would your otherworld bring up?

    For example my Silent Hill is the town my grandma lives in, I used to love going there and staying with her and seeing my cousins as a kid, everyone loved being at my gma's house and events like Christmas and Easter were super fun, she'd cook up a big meal for everyone and we'd all sit round watching movies and playing games. But in the past few years, various family dramas and the fact my grandma has developed Alzheimer's has given the place a sad, empty vibe. The house I loved being at so much as a kid is now a mess and no one likes being there much, me and my cousins are now adults and preoccupied with our own stuff and not as close anymore, talking to my grandma is just very very sad considering what she used to be like. It sounds bad but I hate going back there, and I loved it so so much as a kid. I could just imagine confronting my inner demons there in the mist.

    I think my Silent Hill monsters would embody my family issues past and present and the trauma related to that, and maybe the fact I'm a little lost in life? like maybe the roads would twist and turn in the mist until you realise you have no idea where you are, the map would have different routes drawn on and scribbled out so you couldn't really read anything. There would def something related to social anxiety, and a laughing/clown type demon since I use humour to deal with.. everything, and ofc my depression and suicidal thoughts would come in to play. It would have to be addressed that I have a bit of an "edgy" side too, I have a lot of of unresolved anger/rage and can be a bit of a bitch. Damn they should do the Silent Hill exercise in therapy lol.

    Anyway I want to know all of yours, what would be the ideal location in your life to confront your own personal nightmare embodiment of your fears and sins? What would they look like? (as much as you're comfy talking about online obvs). Idk I think this is a fun creative exercise and encourages self-reflection which is always good. Look forward to reading!

    Silent Hill 4: The Room is the best silent hill game ever made period.

    Silent Hill 2 fans can get as mad as they like, I find Silent Hill 4 to be superior, from its soundtrack, enemies, battles, the story of Walter and the story of Henry, the female characters, and the interesting back stories, as well as visiting each world time to be greeted with more horror.

    (I've played SH2 multiple times, I am asking kindly why do so many people like this game?) If it's going to be a response such as "I can carry multiple items and don't have to store it in a chest" then thats hilarious to me.

    I found its plot to be very limited ( Your only looking for your dead wife )

    I am not here to fight, I'd just like a reasonably explanation so I can better understand as I stated in for my reasons for SH4.

    Any thoughts on the SHR Monster designs?

    Yes I know I'm going on about the horrible movie again but I really need to know what you all think of the designs of these Monsters aside from how they were made like the MM using weird-looking CGI, I personally found them interesting especially the Delusions but I would say the devs should have spent more time on this movie, I know hardcore fans hated it because it was nothing like the first movie or the third game while many characters were bad but I personally enjoyed it in some parts, it's not irredeemable as there's some ideas I liked about it aside from the Monsters and think they should've been kept which if there is a third movie, I really want it to include the designs but obviously made more like the games and the better movie which I am not trolling or joking, I understand how fans feel and I'm not oblivious to the reasons that people dont like about it but I saw comments on YT for the Credits and many do like the movie so I'm not alone but as I said, I respect what many say about this one and I agree any sequel should be done right, doesn't mean any might come because this bombed so it's unlikely but I want it to be made far better, story make more sense, characters given more enjoyable performances, Monsters to be more based on 1, 2, 3, etc., literally alot more focused on the good games and heck, maybe not include Delusions and the Manniquen Monster at all because people clearly prefer 1, 2, 3 and 4 Monsters with exception of the wife, fetus, cockroaches and centipedes in P.T. so I am okay if they don't get included, I just personally really love the way they look and the fact they're honestly more terrifying as the Manniquen in SH2 is just a pair of legs which walk normally and strike with top pair but the Manniquen Monster is a mass of Manniquen Parts which is faster with many appendages, more dangerous and has the ability to turn a female into a Manniquen with its venom to then grow larger and be more difficult to hide from since if it gets another head, it will be able to survey in more directions but I still appreciate the game Monster, I respect it's simple and successful for what it did and won't say it's trash or anything rude and hypocritical, it's not as scary as the movie Monster for everything that one does but the Manniquen is still an effective monster regardless, it made fans afraid when they played the game and that's what matters which I also like the design so I'm not just a Revelation fanboy, I have some good tastes as well.
