Modern horror ideas you have come up with? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:30 PM PST What are some things you would like to see? For me I always thought it'd be cool if you started with a maximum amount of health items and you don't get anymore. Then you would really have to worry every time you took damage. You'd probably have players playing certain sections near death to stretch out resources. I'd also like the DINO CRISIS idea about bleeding out to make a resurgence. Some attacks leave you with an open wound so you get slower and lose health over time until you bandage it. [link] [comments]
How do you react to foggy days/nights ? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 12:02 PM PST Even tho I can guess, I still love to hear from other people. What are you thoughts, feelings ? [link] [comments]
Silent Hill Origins Assault Rifle Theory. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 11:02 AM PST I know this isn't exactly the usual kinda of Theory SH gets but I figured I'd share it anyway. The Assault Rifle in Origins is really bizarre, its an AK in a game set in the 70's where the US and Russia were still in the cold-war Era, so a guy in a small town would have alot of trouble buying an AK 47 and it also weirdly only holds 18 rounds instead of the 30 an AK usually does. My Theory is that the Tesla Rifle was actually ment to be the normal assault rifle, it's based on a M16A2, while this is inaccurate (since the M16A2 was created afterwards, it was an earlier model of M16 used in Vietnam), I think this might be down to a modeling error and they retrofitted the model to a Tesla Rifle once they realised it as most of the futureistic stuff is on the textures, not the actual gun model. My main point of Evidence for this is that due to some cost-cutting after the M16 was approved, the 20 round magazines soldiers were given would jam if fully loaded, so they took 2 bullets out of the magazine to make sure it wouldn't jam on them in a firefight, which gives us 18 bullets like in Origins. Its possible the AK might have still been in the game, with the exception of the Shotgun (Which Travis cannot miss.) every single firearm in Origins has a similar slightly better counterpart obtained later on, possibly partly so players who miss the weapon aren't screwed. Target Pistol = Service Pistol Rifle = Redeemer Revolver (Both ranged weapons with not-too-common ammo and high damage.) This would make it presumably something among the lines of M16 = AK47 (since AKs are depicted as more powerful in fiction.) It is also worth noting that the AK is the only weapon to get a completely new ammo model in the PS2 Port, instead of the same as all the other weapons, which is a small civilian ammo box like in the PSP version, on the PS2 Version, its a big military ammo box, my theory is that this was originally the M16 Ammo box (since it was in-use with the US military at the time.) with the AK still having a civilian-style ammo box. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:45 AM PST Hey everyone so i knownthe silent hill hd collection is viewed as the worst way to play the games but that's the only way I can play them. See the hd collection is on psnow and im on a very tight budget. So my question is if the hd collection is the only way to play is it stilk worth it? Also thank god for the 2d controls that you can switch from the 3d controls. I honestly don't know if I could play the game in 3d controls [link] [comments]
How do you reconcile Laura's story given SH2's In Water ending? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 07:18 AM PST If you take the In Water ending as the proper ending, it feels like Laura just sort of disappears before the story ends. What do you think happens to her in this ending? How do you feel her story line should wrap up? [link] [comments]
[SH1] When do I have to go to Annie´s Bar in order to save Kauffman? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 04:21 AM PST So Im playing the entire four games for the second time and Im currently with the first one. The first ending I got was the bad ending (where all was a dream and I liked it a lot) but now Im going for the canon ending (the good one), so Ill make the connection with the third entry. I know I have to complete the optional sidequest where I have to save Kauffman and I know he´s at Annie´s Bar. The question is, when am I supposed to go to this place? Is this location unlocked once you meet Kauffman at the hospital? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Nov 2019 04:39 AM PST If I have a magazine with 4 shots left and a magazine with 6 left and put them in the chest, will they be converted into a single 10 round magazine or will they stay seperate? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Nov 2019 01:11 AM PST How many of you played and finished this game? Because this game is probably the scariest thing ever put in on the video game industry. Most talk is about SH2 and how good it is. Tho, I think SH2 is better game, than SH1. And probably more subtle in delivering its message. SH1 is more scary. It amazes me, that I was able to finish it as a kid. Just replayed it lately and the last third of the game is a complete assault on a human psychic. I swear, this game took me to some places, lol. Like, for an example: very minor spoiler. When you reach the hospital. And at the lower level there's one room. You can not go in, cause it locked. But you actually do not want so much. Cause it feels somehow offputting just being near that place. And the music is just slightly creepy. It almost creeps little by little in to your brains. So you want to leave that place as soon, as possible. And then the night comes. And now you should come back to that place. And the music just gets louder and louder. And it goes even futher from that. They were really good at creating the atmosphere which adds slowly. Until it almost impossible to escape from it. It fills everything eventually. It is a little weird, that it talked very little. Tho, this game has some noticeable minuses. It aged maybe not that well. Never was remastered. For some people PS1 graphics may be offputting experience. The bosses I fell can be outrageously bad. But the controls is no worse, than in SH2. And it runs smootlhy. So if you still not sure. Just give this game a try. [link] [comments]
