New P.T. video shows the streets of Silent Hill being fully explored Posted: 20 Dec 2019 12:06 PM PST Hi everyone! I hope you think this is kinda interesting, I edited P.T. to make it so the player gets warped to the silent hill map that we saw Norman Reedus walking along in the ending cinematic and made a video where I explore it, so I thought you might like to come take a look? Its here: https://youtu.be/DHLPRrPXaPo It took me like a year to get the "floating" patch working that was needed so hopefully someone thinks this is cool lol [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Dec 2019 04:30 PM PST Was there ever any conclusion to the "jarith trigger" theory for P.T.? I remember back when the demo was still fresh, there were a few different alleged methods for completing the demo that didn't involve saying the name "jarith," but I only ever wound up using the jarith method myself. I never really kept up with much of the discussion pertaining to it over the years, but i do remember some slight controversy regarding whether or not the whole buzz surrounding the jarith thing was a bunch of misled fans or something of the sort, so I'm just curious if that was ever solved. Remember the piano puzzle from the SH 1? (SPOILERS) Posted: 20 Dec 2019 07:23 AM PST I recently watched a bunch of SH 1 plays on Youtube. While almost everyone figured out that white birds from the poem refer to white keys on the piano and black birds refer to black ones, almost none of them could figure out that the name of the poem "Birds without voice" refers to "Keys without voice (sound)". This is something that puzzles my mind. I understand that piano puzzle is one of the hardest SH puzzles, but this is something that becomes very obvious when you start linking birds with keys. Not too hard at all. What leads me to a question: How could kids from the PS1 era could beat the game with all those hard puzzles? It was very difficult to find the solution back in the day, especially if you were not living in the USA or possibly UK. And by the way: reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/ectek4/silent_hill_1_remains_the_scariest_game_of_all/ [link] [comments]
Pls Help, I'm So Confused About How to Install Silent Hill 2 On Pc Posted: 20 Dec 2019 10:27 AM PST Fellas, I've never played any of the Silent Hill games so I'm trying to install Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition on my PC. I don't have the disk and I don't have a disk drive on my PC for that matter. What to do? Where can I get the game files online? Sorry if this is a dumb question I'm just super confused. Posted: 20 Dec 2019 11:55 AM PST I have owned the PS2 version of Silent Hill 2 since its release, but because I am stupid and I have terrible taste I have never really played it beyond the point of finding the radio. Now, years later my home gaming setup is significantly changed and my PS2 is packed away in storage meaning that working through my PS2 backlog requires emulation. I am wondering if anyone has experience tweaking PCSX2 for optimal performance with the game. I understand that the game used some off-spec methods to obtain certain graphical effects that can sometimes cause issues in emulation, so I am wondering if any particular renderer is optimal. I also know of a widescreen patch for the game, but as the game was designed for a 4:3 aspect ratio I also know that this can cause some issues when rendering things that would normally be offscreen (especially in cutscenes) -- I am wondering if the anomalies are minor enough to make running in widescreen worthwhile or if I should keep it in the original aspect ratio. I also found a "cheat" to turn off the grain effect. I know that the option is available in-game if I complete it once, but is using the cheat to disable it for my first go-through worth it, or should I man up and earn my way to that option? I've been looking for this game (NOT DIRECTLY SH RELATED) Posted: 19 Dec 2019 11:35 PM PST I'm not sure if this is necessarily a Silent Hill monster, but I thought I'd ask you people. It's from a game that's on the Xbox 360. I'll set the scene. Your in a dirty brown bathroom. Absolutely filthy. On the right, there's a number of toilets blocked off by doors. You open one of the doors to inspect the toilet and a tentacle shoots out and attacks you. Does anyone know of a game with a tentacle toilet monster? Please tell me. Edit: My mom told me it was definitely a Silent Hill game. [link] [comments] |
