Do you die in Silent Hill or are you resurrected again and again? Posted: 01 Sep 2020 06:44 PM PDT Not sure if this is a stupid question, but figured I'd ask anyway. In Silent Hill, you're pretty much tossed in a world where your deepest fears and sins are reflected back at you in a twisted form of purgatory. How does that display itself? In the form of otherworldly creatures, symbolism, etc. Lots of things can kill you in Silent Hill. The question is: If a monster (not a human) which represents your inner most demons kills you in Silent Hill, are you permanently dead or are you resurrected until you "learn your lesson", per se? Guide to Detecting Bad Silent Hill Games Posted: 01 Sep 2020 06:13 AM PDT 1) Does it reuse someone else's otherworld design with no reason? 2) Does it reuse enemy designs from past games with no reason? 3) Is Pyramid Head/Red Pyramid there without James? (If there's a PH clone, approach with caution). 4) Is the gameplay focused more on combat than puzzles and exploration? 5) Is the story trying to rehash SH2? See how many games you can fit in this list and which ones avoid it completely. I'll also add more points if I get any suggestions [link] [comments]

What is the role of "The order" in silent hill? Posted: 01 Sep 2020 04:58 PM PDT So I'm new to silent hill and loving it but not exactly sure how the cult plays into the universe of the game? Can they control the supernatural elements in the game meaning do the cult memebers also get attacked by the monsters? If they do get attacked by the monsters, how does it benefit them? isn't it a double edged sword? In homecoming it is heavily implied thay the cult can weaponise it? How do they benefit from it? What is the cults ultimate goal? Isn't the existince of these monsters and other dimensions a proof that the cults religion is actually true? And that they do have to respawn what they call God? In silent hill 2 why was Sunderland called to the town? he was able to accept what he did and moved on, how did this benefit the monsters or the cult? With all the supernatural shit in the town? why would anyone live there? Why not move to another town? If it is only certain characters experiencing the horrors in silent hill (meaning the people who live there do not experience it) Then wouldn't they just see random people swinging ironbars in the air? so many questions hopefully you guys can answer it [link] [comments]
