Does everyone go through the games multiple times for endings or just look them up on youtube?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 08:34 AM PST

Ive been playing SH2 a lot lately and have gotten the 3 main endings and rebirth. So i was debating going through it again for the UFO and Dog endings and was just wondering what everyone else does.

Was there a reason why the nurses in silent hill 4 make burping noises when you hit them?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 02:34 AM PST

It just makes them silly; especially when the game right before this showed Eileen dying and Walter Sullivan stalking you, which was scary as hell. Why couldn't they keep the sound the nurses make in sh 2 and 3?

I just went for a walk around my hometown while listening to the sh2 ost...

It was such an great experience and it made me appreciate the soundtrack on another level. Kt started out with Theme of Laura when i walked out the door, then as i was walking to school i heard the thre first songs Theme of laura, white noiz and forest. When i arrived at school i paused and went in. Apperantly i didnt have school today so went out again and went to the forest, and thats when i really started to appreciate the power of the music. It was early morning and it was raining and there was even fog outside, so everything just clicked. When i arrived at the forest, the song Ashes and ghosts played and i felt so scared, but i still continued but i always looked behind me just "to be sure". After a while when i was further in i heard the next song and it felt releaving, how it changed from industrial drums and scary noises to a calm melody. But unfortunately my headphones were getting low on battery so i had to go back home. But omg the soundtrack is fucking amazing. And the musi was oddly fitting for my hometown. It almost felt like i was in silent hill as weird as that sounds. I still havent completed the game, but damn now i really wanna play more. The game is a straight up masterpiece.

Trying to make a combination of Silent Hill and HP Lovecraft game.

I just need some ideas that any of you can help me out. How do you remember the Silent Hill games directs you to your objective the fisrt time you played one of the SH games? Because I have memorized the paths already on every game and I can't comprehend which of the things you see in your screen is tmyour direction to the objective. Thanks!

    Playing SH4 again

    Posted: 07 Jan 2020 09:09 PM PST

I haven't played this title since I was a 8 or 9. That was roughly 15 or some odd years ago.

This game is really good. I remember disliking it because it frustrated me. But now, I dunno, I'm not bothered by the backtracking and companion? In fact I kind of like it?

I know it sounds ridiculous. I wonder how much of it is nostalgia and how much is finding it genuinely enjoyable.

Overall, playing through this again I gotta say I have a much greater appreciation for it. This game is deep, disturbing, and engaging and i'm happy to call it my favorite after SH2.

I can understand the backtracking, Eileen quest, ghosts, and limited inventory can be obnoxious. But after revisiting it I feel like I can appreciate these limitations for what they accomplish.

I won't make an argument for the reused, barely different level revisits. But, Eileen and the limited inventory are kind of sick. Both features create interesting dynamics during play that are intriguing.

It can be engaging to try and protect Eileen, manage a dwindling inventory, seek out a hole to drop off precious items, or retrieve stored items. I could go on but I think you get the point.

This game is kind of sick, flawed without a doubt, but I fucking dig it...

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think about it.
