    Silent Hill strongly motivated me to explore abandoned areas in the past. This is from Pennhurst State School and Hospital, over a century old, abandoned for 33 years and confirmed haunted by Ghost Hunters. It was the closest I could get to Alchemilla Hospital.

    SH1 PLEASE HELP

    Hi, so I'm playing through SH1 for the first time. I seem to have encountered a bug that is halting my progress I've just met with Cybill and Dahlia in the boat, been to the lighthouse ( anticlimax) and I'm now following Cybill to an amusement park... now so far I haven't used a walkthrough or guide of any kind as to avoid spoilers and not feel like a big cheaty cheater and I feel like I've done pretty well. until now.....

    I have explored every inch of the area and the only thing I've found is a sewer manhole with the cover off. This seems to be the only route forward. When I approach the hole, harry says this must be the way Cybill went. but I can't seem to get in, I've tried from every angle and only get the dialogue.

    Please someone help, I only have a precious couple hours of gaming a day ( if I'm lucky ) and have spent over an hour running around this area going crazy. I shamefully consulted a guide and specifically looked at this section and it appears to be the way to go....

    So, I have a ps2 currently and a ps3. I really want to get into the silent hill games. Silent hill 2 is on ps2 and there's the HD collection for PS3. Is it okay if I skip SH1 and just play SH2? Or should I get the HD collection
