    Team Silent. A legendary set of developers and creatives that went on to create some of the most influential pieces of horror. I'm sure most of us have seen the rumour of Sony, Konami and Kojima Productions reuniting. Its nothing short of a monumental occasion in game development. Rarely, if ever, has a team, 20 years old, split in so many ways, returned for a game, let alone the game that started it all.

    The first split was after Silent Hill, Toyama and several others left Konami to joining SCEJ forming Team Siren. They went on to make the Siren series, Gravity Rush series and Isao directed Knack II.

    Silent Hill 2 had the return of most of the original members with more devs making a name for them through it.

    Silent Hill 3 and 4 were said to have split development, the SH2 team being split between 3 and 4 to ensure quick releases of both. You can kinda see that here, and probably more if you looked at the entire dev team.

    Whats evident is after SH4, Team Silent were practically gone. Akira would eventually leave Konami for Grasshopper, many members were unbelievably under utilized at Konami, working on mobile games, or PES.

    Sato and Tsuboyama leave for Nintendo.

    Many would join Kojima Productions at Konami, working on the MGS franchise. Kojima later splits from Konami, pretty much taking the bulk of the talent at Kojima Productions in Konami to form a separate studio also called Kojima Productions.

    However, 20 years later, perhaps from the impact Kojima's P.T had (a monumental story in its own), Team Silent is rumoured to be reuniting.

    Was it weird to the Japanese crowd that Silent Hill only had English voice acting?

    I don't know if this is an ignorant question so pardon me. But Silent Hill never had Japanese voice acting, was this considered strange in Japan, especially for a game that was made in Japan?

    I found Hildur's work after watching the Chernobyl series and Joker (and deservedly won the Oscar for) last year. Her work is very reminiscent of Akira's music. If he weren't available for the next Silent Hill project (whenever it may be), I think she'll be a viable successor! Or better yet, a collaboration between the two. What do y'all think?

    lately i've been buying old school games that i loved back in the day... even tho i still own the originals.
    decided to check out the collection in the playstation store but the price is a bit too much for me?...
    is it a error or did it cost that much from day one?
