Happy Father's Day to a man who travelled through Hell on Earth to find his adopted daughter, only to lose her, and be given another child whom he believed had taken his daughter away and initially hated but ultimately decided to forgive, raise and love as if she were his own: Harry Mason.

If Silent Hill's Iconic Nurse were to become a legendary or even very rare killer set in Dead by Daylight, which killer should it be for?

Nurse is obvious but Spirit mechanically would work better I feel.

    Konami Representative on PS5

I apologize if this has already been posted, but this was a pretty cool find since Konami has been pretty quiet since their first statement. Of course, he probably could only say what he had to whether there's something going on or not. I don't know what to think on how much they legitimately care for their IP's at this moment, but it's still an interesting find.

I made a slowed version of Null Moon from the SH2 OST, sounds absolutely amazing. The slowed intro is used by $uicideboy$ in their song Lo-Fi.

A couple of nights ago I finished Silent Hill 2 for the first time, after avoiding it for years because it was too scary for me.

    I'm still thinking about it...

The characters, their stories, the music and the somber yet solemn tone of the game, it's all too good.

I hope for all of you that a new game comes out soon, I can't imagine having your favorite franchise thrown in the trash bin and being forgotten for so long.

Hope SH3 will be fun too.

Replaying Silent Hill : Something Lost, Something Gained

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 07:53 PM PDT

My first experiences with Silent hill 1 and 2 were absolutely incredible. The sense of mystery and absolute dread created by these titles is to me, unmatched. The audio direction, visuals, and story all blew my mind. The horror in these games on a first time playthrough is so palpable. I remember the Other World Hospital in SH1 had me so scared that I turned the game off multiple times, the atmosphere was so thick and the terror was so effective. Similarly, SH2 was so oppressive and unnerving, it felt like I was exploring something truly evil and unknown.

When I replay these masterpieces now, they don't scare me at all. They're more cool, comfy, and surreal now. Like a laid back Twin Peaks. They are games I can easily enjoy, and replay; finding secrets and admiring the art of these games is still incredible. But the horror is lost. I wish I could replay these games for the first time again and appreciate how scary they really are.

Playing Silent Hill really highlights my stress-ADD.

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:56 PM PDT

I haven't thought about it too much before, but I'm playing Silent Hill 3 right now and it's so apparent. I just climbed up the ladder and went through the walnut room to the hallway with the Closer. He was a foot away from me so I noped the fuck out of there back into the walnut room. Heather is just chilling while I browse on my phone and wait for the stress to dissipate. I do this so often when I'm playing SH. Things get too scary, and then I need a palate cleanser and a moment to relax. I'm sure the Closer will still be right in front of the fucking door waiting for me. Asshole.

EDIT: He was. Also I hate that it takes 10 bullets to kill these stupid weenie limbed meat giants.

Meanwhile in no one cares news: I had a couple of Silent Hill dreams last night

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:40 PM PDT

I dreamed that I was playing a new Silent Hill game on the Switch I think. It had Gameboy Color-esque graphics and pixel art, but from what I remember it was actually pretty decent despite its obvious limitations.

The other one I think may have been influenced by RE, seeing Heather in Dead by Daylight, and the Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick if anyone remembers that game lol. I dreamed I was basically the game camera and I was following a character that looked like Cheryl/Heather through a ruined Silent Hill that appeared to have been attacked or something. There were random fires and people running away and defending themselves and attempting to contain hoards of monsters and everything had this dingy, fleshy look to it. It was rad lol. The graphics were great and, even though it was definitely out of character and action-y, it still had that aesthetic and Silent Hill atmosphere and creepy factor. I'm pretty sure a Pendulum from SH3 called MC a "fucking bitch" at one point though (r/brandnewsentences).

Just wanted to share that because I thought it was pretty cool, haha.
