Because the red Pyramid thing was for James only I went with the fan service version (because I am a fan an not James)

I personally love the design of the Lurker from Silent Hill: Homecoming. The simplicity of it with the gaping mouth and the sickle claws is perfect. Make sure to follow my Insta: @zackthezombi if you want to check out similar art.

    games/serials with silent hill vibe

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 01:02 PM PDT

im watching now True Detective 3 season and third time with this series, i feel strong SH's vibe. especially with 1st and 3rd seasons. scenery, soundtrack(especially ost), pacing, atmoshere... it really giving me same feeling. of course its not horror, but i hope someone understand what i talking about.

the thing is, i cant really remember something similar with some other projects. i watched twin peaks, played deadly premonition(anyway they really different from SH i know). also played other jap. horrors, like siren. and even with some similarities, no one give me SHs vibes like True Detective. so questuon is, can anyone suggest some titles with SHs vibe?

I’ve had this since around 2013/14 and it’s still one of my favorite and most commented on tattoos.

    Why do people like Heather?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 03:32 PM PDT

This isn't meant as a pejorative, I'm genuinely curious why she has such a following.

I really do want to love her character because I think she has the best character design and concept, but I just don't get it.

She's a teenager. She's quirky. And she wants revenge for her dad's death.

Is that it? Are those her only character traits? What exactly was her arc?

Silent Hill 4: Eileen... safer with or without a weapon?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:53 PM PDT

So those that have played knows that Eileen's fate is a determinant of what ending you get.

I've just done my 1000th run through (I'm probably over exaggerating) and wanted "Eileens Death" so I wanted her to get hurt so I was thinking... what helps Eileen more?

No Weapon means she will run from danger but if she can't attack, she's still open for attack.

If she has a weapon, she will join in on the fight so she's going towards the danger but she can defend herself.

I gave her a weapon in the end and I did get "Eileen's Death" but she stayed healthy all the way through.

It's actually really hard to get her in terrible shape. I left her in Forest World with Walter for a while. Left her with some Gumheads in the subway and let left her with the six double heads in the Water Tower world. Nothing. Was it because she had a weapon?

I've played this game a lot and of them all, this is the one I know most about but I maybe dropped the ball?

combat in silent hill games — an overall look and what to expect with the new title. thoughts?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:06 PM PDT

    hey guys!

so i've been thinking a lot about this with all the rumours of a new silent hill game being (possibly) announced next thursday (or later in august), and i'd like to hear from you: how importat is the combat in silent hill games — and how should it be implemented in new releases?

playing the original games, it's clear that fighting mechanics were not where team silent (or any of the future developers) excelled; i mean, it's kinda serviceable at best? most of the time, combat in the franchise has felt like and afterthought. clumsy, weird and completely forgettable. while killing creatures with a katana or shooting stuff was not (and will never be) the reason while i think most of us play these games, i'd like to see the core combat mechanics evolving and actually becoming FUN and engaging; i don't think that necessarily means shifting the whole focus to action, but understanding that if you're gonna implement combat AT ALL in your game, it shouldn't feel like you're hitting wet cardboards in boring, frustrating fight sequences.

silent hill origins, at least for me, took some interesting choices and actually made the fighting sections intense and scary, without relying on expertise action tactics like homecoming — and while we're at it, the combat in that game it's actually pretty cool and engaging... it just doesn't fit silent hill at all. i'd love to see some really fluid sequences, and maybe the last of us is a great example for that: urgent, dangerous, scary enemies that can easily overpower you but don't detract the experience. the danger is there. the survival is there... and the horror too. i just think that the "the silent hill characters are just everymen, normal folk so combat will be clunky and obnoxious" excuse, with the available technology, should not be a free pass to making your game with dated combat mechanics anymore.

Where can I buy Silent Hill 2 Director's Cut or get that without cracking?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:06 PM PDT

I know nobody would care if I would crack a game from 2001, but almost every crack also contains malware and other unwanted things. I would also pay for the game, but since it wasn't published on any game distributing service, it is very expensive on ebay, for example. Since I'm a programmer, I would create a crack on my own, if it is necessary. Is there a way to get the Director's Cut of the game for PC or for PS2 with less than ~33 usd?

I want to play SH on PC, but how do I do that?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:38 PM PDT

    Title.

I only played SH3 back in the day, I want to play SH2 and SH3 again but I don't have a Playstation anymore, only a good PC, is there a way to emulate it on PC? I'm really newbie in this things and I want to do something nostalgic this summer, and perhaps even try to play them all in order in one week

    What should I play on

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 08:57 AM PDT

I've never played a silent hill game before and I'm looking for 2 and 4. Should I play them on the Xbox original version, or just get it on ps2?
