Since some of you liked my previous comparison I've decided to do another one. Death of Rose's High School during thunder compared to Silent Hill's Woodside Apartment Building.

A drawing that my sister made for me because of my love for the franchise. My father and I made the frame.

This just in, the man has broke into Brookhaven Hospital!

Few are as terrifying as the man of the Silent Hill himself, Pyramid Head. His rusty blade can cut through anyone/anything with ease. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do follow my Insta: @zackthezombi for similar art.

I just watched Silent Hill Revelations, and oh no...

If Silent Hill (2006) was a breath on the back of your neck, then Silent Hill Revelations is a giant, bloody explosion. It feels like the moment in the first movie where Sharon is screaming "Silent Hill! Silent Hill!" over and over again but for 90 minutes.

Shattered Memories is basically the DmC of this franchise

Shattered Memories is basically the DmC of this franchise

So anyone here who happens to be a fan of both Silent Hill and the Devil May Cry franchise can attest to this, but DmC (the series reboot) was a divisive entry during its debut to say the least. There was a lot of bad blood between the devs and the fans at this point and maybe people just weren't ready for a do-over after how things ended with DMC4. Similarly SHSM was a re-imagining of SH1 and while it was reviewed solidly, its reception was still quite mixed. Neither of these games lived up to the projected sales and feel like one offs as a result.

    Speaking for my own experiences:

I was pretty harsh on DmC when it first dropped despite pre-ordering it on titular PS3 to get the Virgil dlc. Over time I've softened on the game and actually kinda like it now. I'm very happy with DMC5 however and glad to be back with the cast that I know and love but it's a shame that it doesn't look like we'll get anything from the reboot timeline to go alongside the main one thanks to how things played out. I see a lot of potential there. I bring this all up to say I'm kind of in a similar boat with Shattered Memories to a lesser extent. There are aspects that are really weak in SHSM and I don't think it holds a candle to SH1-4 but I still do kind of lowkey enjoy it even if just a little bit. It's probably my favorite of the post Team Silent games if I'm being truthful.

    And so the question remains:

Is it possible to return to this timeline for a sequel? Maybe a re-imagining of Silent Hill 4 or Silent Hill 2? More importantly would you be cool with that idea as long as members of TS get to work on the main timeline alongside this?

How is it that Heather and/or James never appear on any "Best video game characters lists"?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 09:19 AM PDT

Well how is this possible? I mean Silent Hill is a franchise that even none-gamers are familiar with and it's considered to be the 2nd most popular horror franchise in gaming so why do I never see anyone talking about James Sunderland or Heather/Cheryl/Alessa when it comes to best video game characters. I mean Silent Hill is also known for having some of the best written characters in gaming that would fit right into an arthouse film.
