Posted: 04 Jun 2020 12:43 PM PDT Like i said, Shattered Memories gets some undeserved hate simply because it has the Silent Hill stamp on it. People only look at the lack of combat and that it's not made by Team Silent, everyone ignores the incredible storytelling and how the game TRULY changes dynamically based on your actions and not on simple dialogue choices. If it was only called Shattered Memories this game would be praised to this day. Bonus opnion that no one asked for: Downpour is a good game, it's about how the town is punishing Murphy for his actions and how he's seeking redemption from them. IMO it also gets some hate for not being a Team Silent game and having a Pyramid Head like entity, but this time it serves a purpose in the story, contrary to the one in Homecoming or Origins. Posted: 04 Jun 2020 05:33 PM PDT Since Pyramid Head was announced as a killer in Dead By Daylight, my urge to play the, at the very least, original four SH games, exploded... but once I took a look at the prices these games, and to my suprise, it was upwards of $250-300 for all four... but I also remembered the HD collection exists... but everyone hated it, yet I never really knew why. I have started playing Silent Hill 2 HD and getting past the hotel's, I knew I would love this game. To be clear, I am playing the PS Now version, and I've seen a couple things of something being fixed, but why exactly is this collection so adamantly hated so much? Is it really worth spending an entire paycheck for four games if it's the better version? [link] [comments] | ||

To say its graphics are outdated would be an understatement. And yet...it still is so, so scary in spite of the limitations. How fucking terrifying and visceral would this game be if it was remastered. The Resident Evil remakes are really popular, and Silent Hill is arguably more revered as a franchise, and certainly more terrifying. Konami, it's time to wake up and smell the dollar bills.
