    Silent Hill Controversial Opinions!

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:49 PM PST

Silent Hill 3 is my least favorite and Downpour is underrated!

Also, I prefer the idea of Silent Hill being a purgatory for our protagonist.

What's your guy's most controversial opinion?

    Silent Hill Comics

Has anyone read the Silent Hill omnibuses? I really loved the Hellraiser and am hoping the SH comics are just as good. Are they worth reading?

Does the Silent Hill: Homecoming have visual-/feature-parity with the console versions?

    https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Silent_Hill:_Homecoming

There's the "unknownproject" (Steam guide, Github) for the PC version, but the pages aren't well-organized and it often isn't clear which issues are specific to the PC version. The port clearly suffers from crashing and has some severe audio issues, which you may be able to fix.

I own both the PC and Xbox 360 versions. I don't have much faith in modifications to unlock the fps (Homecoming has a 30fps lock), hence the only native benefit would be a higher rendering resolution and injected AA, if possible. In addition, I'd very much like to use the included patch to remove the film grain since the effect is likely only a looping texture.

EDIT: unknownproject seems to have actually removed the QTEs.

If you aren't aware, Silent Hill 2 and 4 have a humongous amount of missing graphical effects on PC. Currently I'm slightly gravitating towards the 360 version (on Xbox One) due to the lack of/unclear documentation.
