Yes, you heard it right and I'm not cruel enough to play with your heart. I'm leaking it here, despite being a small subreddit, because I respect the community.

    Here's what I know for sure :

    - I've known since Death Stranding went gold. I've waited to speak because no one would have believed me until some events happened (Kojima speaking about wanting to make an horror game and Imaizumi departure)

    - Everything isn't settled yet, but Konami and Kojima are speaking about pre-production stuff, right now. The deal seems to be settled. Konami will land the Silent Hill IP to Kojima production and Kojima production will fund the game on themselves (third-party is helping, Microsoft, Sony or even Steam, but I'm not sure which one). Konami will have a say on the main actor, but that's it, Kojima should get a white card, like originally planned.

    - That's the reason behind Kenichiro Imaizumi departure from Kojima Production. He couldn't take working "for" Konami, even if it's from afar. Kojima really want to finish Silent Hill "PT" and think his fans deserve it, even if he has to shallow some of his pride (and he did). Imaizumi went against it as hard as it could, to no avail (fortunately).

    - The initial vision of Silent Hill "PT" will be the same, with a different main character (no Norman Reedus). They'll try to get as many famous names as they can in the project.

    - Third person. Not an FPS like the teaser was.

    - Silent Hill wasn't the reason Kojima had problems with Konami, it was entirely on MGSV.

    - It seems Kojima being able to pull out Death Stranding from scratch redeemed him in Konami's eyes. I'm not sure if it was said elsewhere, but Death Stranding is a huge hit worldwide, sales-wise. That might have helped a little too.

It's internet, I wouldn't blame you to not believe what I wrote, but unless something big happen (again), Silent Hill should be announced soon (2020 at the latest, 2019 during TGA if we're lucky)

I recently found this in my neighbors trash. I was wondering how much this would be worth because I have not found many offers online. The box is slightly damaged but the cover is in perfect condition and the disk sleeves have never been opened with the original glue.

    Akira Yamaoka inspired horror track

This is an instrumental piece I wrote recently. I was inspired by the atmosphere that is presented in sections of exploration in Silent Hill. The Hallway

    Edit: Grammar

We may never venture back to that town. But I always wonder, if we do, what will it be like? So i wanted to create something as I've been thinking about it a lot recently, as we all have.

Ok, so this is kind of a personal post for me

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 05:27 PM PST

I actually met someone in real life who likes Silent Hill. Not someone who just thinks it's alright... Or who's seen the movie.. Someone who really likes and appreciates the franchise.

He's 36, so slightly older than me (23), and it's such a joy to get to know his perspective on things. He was 15/16 when the original Silent Hill came out and has been hooked since then.

Tomorrow he'll be coming over and I'll introduce him to Silent Hill 4, as he hasn't played it.

I just feel happy and proud of myself... So many people know about Resident Evil but the thing I like about the Silent Hill games is their subtlety and emotion. This person I met, who I hope will become a good friend, has that same sensitivity and that makes me so happy.

Anyway - just wanted to tell you guys - incase you're feeling like me not too long ago... There are people out there who genuinely love SH and that whole sort of vibe! And beyond that, they appreciate it.

If I had to sum up why Silent Hill matters to me so much.. and why it matters as a feeling.. It's that plenty of people are afraid of things. But not many people are brave enough to feel those feelings, or even accept them.

I hope that you, me, and everyone finds the peace they deserve after battling with their own personal Silent Hill.

    Silent Hill TV series?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 07:10 PM PST

Does anyone think this has serious potential compared to the less than great movie series? I've been watching Castle Rock and Channel Zero, and the anthology concept would fit perfectly, with each episode or even season being about a different person called to Silent Hill. Fill it with emotion, body and psychological horror, an amazing soundtrack, practical effects, atmosphere and Twin Peaks inspiration, it would be perfect. It's a shame it'll probably never happen because of Konami's priorities nowadays.

Is There a Reason SH 2 Doesn't Have Any Ports?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 06:19 AM PST

I mean it's considered one of the greatest games of all time. You'd think they'd have a port for the PS4/XB1. I want to play the game but the only way I can do that is by ordering the HD collection for my PS3.

    Silent Hill has died.

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 05:38 AM PST

Since we'll likely never see another mainline Silent Hill entry (at least not for a VERY long time), what's your belief on the end of the series?

I personally think that the town eventually fell to disrepair, lost in its abandon and was slowly reclaimed by the surrounding woodlands... The power of the town to me appeared to also show a sign of decay with the more plaintive appearance of monsters in Silent Hill: Downpour (yes, I'll use head canon to explain away basic monster designs!). I feel this makes sense seeing as Heather had killed The Order's God, and the subsequent dissolution of that cult by Douglas Cartland's efforts (you can find a report on this in Silent Hill: Homecoming).

The town died. Its power died. Silent Hill is no more.

However, even before the cult was formed, we saw supernatural phenomenon in the 1800's in the graphic novel Silent Hill: Past Life... So just because the town and its powers have died, that doesn't mean it won't still live on as cursed land...

What are some of the evidence supporting the idea that Silent Hill 2 was a form of purgatory ?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 07:55 AM PST

Does anyone know the source of this picture? It's not from an ingame cutscene.

Forgive me SH subreddit, but I had to buy the HD collection

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 11:34 AM PST

The ps2 games cost so much, plus I'd need to get a working ps2 for it. The HD collection is my only option, even though it might be slightly inferior.

Which would be the best way to play through the series on pc?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 07:55 AM PST

Silent Hill has always been a series that have a specific charms since i heard of it for so long, i never had any of the consoles on which it came on, that and i don't really think that my country ever had a official release so i have never found the games on the wild, with that in mind my guess is that during the current state of affairs i'll just play the on pc,

My Laptop can easily run Console games from the past gen so technical requirements are not that big of a deal, still if there are some specifics just ask.

I apologise if this sounds a little demanding.
