    Songs similar to Theme of Laura?

    There is no shortage of discussions on Silent Hill's OST, and a quick Google search shows just how common questions like "Music similar to the OST?" Is, with some seriously amazing industrial-rock and ambient track recommendations that I adore. So I'm sorry to add to the pile, but I'm specifically looking for music that's similar to Theme of Laura, in that it strays away from the ambient/grungy rock genre and more towards the use of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and drums.

    I am just so smitten with Theme of Laura. It has captured me since I was a kid, and there's something so beautiful about the way that the song is composed. It's both melancholic and mystifying, with that soft rock vibe and all.

    If anyone knows any songs, musicians, or albums that have a similar vibe please let me know.

    so far i own: 1 for the psx, sh 2, 3 and 4 for the ps2 and homecoming for the ps3.

    are there any more "must have" silent hill games or is this the definitive collection? have a great day guys!

    My Great Grandfather; James Sunderland

    Hi, I've watched tons and tons of videos on Silent Hill, but I've never heard mentioned where James Sunderland's name came from. Does anyone know? I know typically Japanese games just grab English sounding names for games. Like hilariously in 1994 Super Famicom game Fighting Baseball.

    My Great Grandfather was actually named James Sunderland. It's one of the coolest coincidences to me, as like many, Silent Hill 2 is my favorite of the series. I don't know much about him except that he shares a name with the protagonist. My Mother's maiden name is Sunderland, but unfortunately she didn't keep it in marriage.

    Which one do you like more?

    I think SH 4 has a superior, more original story but SH 1 and SH 3 certainly had better protagonists with a clear motivation and even some backstories.

    Please do not mention SH 2 here! :0

    BEST SH FOG?

    Do you like the original pinky fog in SH1? Is it more pleasing aesthetically than the normal grey fog in the next games? Do you think it captures SH's melancholic atmosphere better or worse?

    I know, I lot of people don't really like SH1 graphics. but I actually find them much more memorable because of all interesting color choices.

    For me, gotta be Abstract Daddy's room. The foreboding newspaper-covered hallway leading to it, the fleshy room filled with suggestive pistons in constant motion and, of course, that damn abomination inside it. Never I've seen a more gut-wrenching, depressing and painfully horrible use of symbolism in a game, ever.

    TRUE SH4 PROTAGONIST. HENRY vs WALTER

    Who's the true SH 4 protagonist, Henry or Walter?

    I now in the game we play as Henry, but imagine for instance if that was a movie? Walter has a clear goal, a great backstory, and an inner conflict. Doesn't that make him the true protagonist of this story?

    It's basically like Thanos in the Infinity War.
