Can We Please Ban Unsubstantiated Rumor Posts? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 08:14 AM PST Since this series seemingly died, this subreddit has been plagued by one unsubstantiated rumor and never be game over conspiracy after the other. Can this please stop? Mods, don't you think it's time those kinds of posts are culled? They only incite arguments and spread misinformation. Unless a poster can confirm with you in private a reason that their leaks are legitimate or why they're reputable, random "I know a person" or "trust me my dad works at Konami" esque posts should be deleted IMO. This subreddit should celebrate the fandom and the series. When something legit comes along, then we freak out. The community here shouldn't be subjected to one false flag after another. Silent Hill 2 PC Version Still Available? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 10:52 AM PST I'm sure this was posted before a few years ago, but is there any legitimate anyway to get/ download Silent Hill 2 for Windows 10? [link] [comments]

*SPECULATION, not fact* PS3 remasters Posted: 03 Dec 2019 01:28 PM PST Imagining that Homecoming and Downpour were remade/remastered for current gen, what kind of improvements do you guys think would be needed to pass as decent games. Let's be honest here, neither were received with overwhelming praise. Ps. Serious suggestions will be appreciated [link] [comments]
Any chance of a Silent Hill 3 vinyl? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:15 AM PST Sorry if this has been asked before, I was just curious if there was any news on a release of the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack on vinyl? I have the first two records of the first two games and was looking to complete the holy trinity. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:29 AM PST Just beat 3, and before I buy 4, I would like to know how well it stacks up to the others. I'd hate to blow 80 bucks on a game that's only half as good as the one I got for 50 [link] [comments]
An idea for a Silent Hill game I just feel like sharing (sh1 spoilers) Posted: 03 Dec 2019 03:57 PM PST So, I've always liked thinking about unique Silent Hill ideas that don't just revolve around personal demons due to 2s amazing story, which more or less changed up people's perception of the series entirely and can in some cases split the fanbase (also leading to some of the later games, particularly the American ones to become more sh2-esque, not to say they're all bad) I wanted to make an idea that differentiated it from the rest of the series, but also sounded like it could've been a legitimate game, so still carrying the series identity, maybe even both of them, sh2 side and the sh1 side. So I based the idea mostly off the original Silent Hill, specifically off the idea of Cybil's death, seeing as some think the Good+ ending is true or the good ending is true. In this story, the good ending would be canon. You'd play as a police officer, who works within the same police force as Cybil, that voluntarily goes to Silent Hill to search for his friend after having gone missing (or perhaps an extremely delayed message from Cybil's attempt at communicating the outside world?). I imagine it would be most like Silent Hill 1 or 4 with a bit of RE (the original one). Basically, imagine the gameplay of resident evil but the horror of silent hill 1 or 4. When would this take place? I was thinking either somewhere near the end of Silent Hill 1, for convenience, as she dies around that point. That or straight up after 1. What I think would be interesting though when going with it being during the end of SH1 (feel free to correct me on my silent hill lore, I'm not exactly the best lol) would be that I think Alessa's actual nightmare/influence on the town isn't the same due to the ending in sh1 which I think leads to it manifesting the personal demons/nightmares/monsters of the people within the town instead. I think it'd be interesting to shift from someone else nightmare into your own, if you really wanted to push it, maybe it can be like Shattered Memories and be based on how you played the game? Maybe the endings could also be based on whether or not you solved the mystery and confronted the horrors of silent hill, sort of like how 4 had two separate conditions where if one was fulfilled but not the other, it could affect the ending. I think stuff could also be taken from the Play Novel (Cybil route mostly) or some of the other silent hills games to perhaps have more to work with or to build more connections between the games. I think itd also be interesting to build further connections between the games, if he were somehow involved in the Walter Sullivan case (perhaps caught him or was at least helping with that?) My only problem with it is that it seems a bit strange to send someone out to investigate a situation in which a person who was investigating a situation went missing, just seems like recipe for disaster/stupidity, though the main character doing it voluntarily might make that less bad, perhaps he could have a companion? I dunno, but I think it'd be a cool idea to explore and develop, even though I sort of have it half baked. What do you guys think? Feel free to correct my Silent Hill knowledge or expand on the idea, its really starting to sound like 'please rate my silent hill oc!' lmao. [link] [comments]
is buying 1 digitally on PS3 and the HD collection worth it? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:39 AM PST buying the original version of 2 and 3 ranges from $50 to over $200 depending on the console, the condition, and where you buy it. i really want to play these games but id rather not spend that much.... is buying the PS3 version of the games worth picking up? SH3 PC stuttering with frame rate fix mod? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 12:44 AM PST Alright reddit you're my last hope. I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. I'm trying to play SH3 in pc and I'm using the widescreen fix mod from the pc gaming wiki. The mod includes a fix for a pc problem where FPS will fluctuate between 30 and 60fps. I'm staying at 60 fps now but the game has stuttering anytime the frame rate WOULD have fluctuated before. It's super annoying and takes me out of the experience. Does anyone have any advice to fix the stuttering? Alternatively, is there a way to lock the frame rate to 30fps? I'm thinking if I lock it to 30 I might prevent the stuttering. Thanks! :) [link] [comments] |
