    Fun fact: The contributor Vixx is the admin at the Silent Hill Heaven Forums (for all of the OGs who were active in that amazing community in the very early 00s-to-early 10s—that place was the shit back in the day, and the community's still active). For those who were active on SHHF, realizing the much-beloved Vixx was the contributor on this piece was a neat treat!

    Vixx adds additional thoughts on SHHF:

    To clarify, I'm not privy to info about the new games in development – no-one's spoken to me about that – but the rumour was substantiated by CJ at Rely on Horror, whom I trust implicitly. It's all very good news, particularly as we know Ito's involved in a new horror, too...

    As for the Kojima rumour; I wouldn't believe it either if I hadn't have heard it myself. To be clear, I have no inside scoop on whether or not Kojima IS involved in the reboot/new game, but if it transpired he was involved in a new project with Konami, it wouldn't surprise me. I'm not convinced he is, tho, I'm just told it's plausible.

    Bonus tip not everyone knows: Yamaoka was on-board to score/SFX Silent Hills. If these new games do exist, jfc, I hope someone's tapped him to contribute too!

    It's all pretty circumstantial atm, but looking good... fingers crossed, eh?!

    I am curious, which one do you guys prefer, assuming that the rumors are true? I personally prefer a new installment, I'm one of those "Team Silent" guys, no re-release of Silent Hills either, since the people working on it disbanded. It's the internet era, the franchise really needs to reinvent itself since surprising is way harder now with easy access of information.

    The Hospitals of Silent Hill

    Which Hospital does everyone prefer in the first three Silent Hill games Alchemilla or Brookhaven? If you choose Brookhaven which version of Brookhaven do you prefer 2 or 3's version?

    I am currently playing 1 and my floored still to this day by aesthetic nuance to Alchemilla. A lot of Silent Hill 1's aesthetic is the subtle nature of each location and how the other world mirror flips the location. 3 also accomplished this, but the otherworld was more of break up mechanic. (Not that it was bad by any means)

    Brookhaven in two was a brooding and on the nose creepy location. It was more disheveled, but was very uniform in it's tone. However, it didn't have the subtle depth to it Alchemilla had for me. However, don't take this as a knock against 2. 2 to me had other locations that better expressed the games aesthetic.

    I also feel Brookhaven was shoe horned into three instead of remaking Alchemilla because of the production time constraints. However, I like Brookhaven better in three.

    What are the community's thoughts?

    A song that is probably gone forever now

    I remember a song that I found on YouTube with the title "Silent Hill Music Video" by a "Dim_Arnos." I think all traces of it have been wiped though, not on picosong, nor SoundCloud, not even youtube has it anymore. If you have the song, please send a link.

    How much does Silent Hill 4 cost on PS3?

    I know you can buy it on the JP PSN store to play on a US account. How much would it cost in US currency to buy it? And is google translate sufficient enough to navigate the purchase instructions?
