    Today is March 2nd in the West, but in Japan is March 3.

    Kojima posted the pic with March 3 on the calendar

    Today he also posted Death Stranding for PC announcement

    Seems like Masashiro ito just joined a fake tease bandwagon to bamblooze us.

    Silent Hill release in Japan is March 5, there's still a very small chance left. but hope is pretty much dead

    With all of the intense rumours of a Kojima/Silent Hills revival, Kojima Productions twitter account goes and posts Death Stranding for PC like it was some enormous announcement.

    Is the HD collection for Silent Hill really that bad?

    I've been really interested in the series for quite a while now, but I don't have a PS2. The first three games also seem costly, is HD collection worth it if I'm gonna end up paying $180 USD for the PS2 and the first three games? Are the bugs in the HD collection all that bad?

    Thoughts? I know the “3” marks the specific month in that calendar, but with the recent rumors and the tweet with Saito writing “next week!”, I’d say it’s likely we’re due for an announcement on the 3rd. I don’t want to feel destroyed if it isn’t SH, but I can never lose hope on SH completely.

    The beginning of the Fukuro video from Art of Silent Hill has an interesting sample or synth effect or a low bassline or something like that (0:11-0:52 in the linked video). Does anybody recognize that effect or sample? Are there any tracks out there that have that similar effect? I really like that effect and if anybody has the name that is used for it in music production software like FL Studio or similar, please share!!

    Silent Hill HD Collection State on PS3

    There've been a lotta posts recently of people asking about the HD Collection and whether or not the game is a viable method to experience the original games and have seen plenty of people state that it isn't and I'd just like to make a post addressing this due to having recently tried it out on PS now cause why not.

    The PS3 version had received a patch which never arrived to the Xbox version which had addressed many issues as the missing fog and missing music cues... in Silent Hill 2 at least.
    Silent Hill 2 HD is now in a state where it is still inferior to the original version of the game but is at least playable without any distracting bugs. Fog is now much better than release with an actual layer of 3D fog around the player, although many textures are still not up to the original's standards. Missing sound cues such as the foghorns upon entering the Historical Society have been restored but bizarrely something as simple as the item pickup sound is still wrong. Framerate drops are still very frequent but not too bad. All in all I managed to play all the way through Silent Hill 2 and actually had a pretty good time. Silent Hill 2 also has the option of original voices which was there from the start.

    Silent Hill 3 HD on the other hand I didn't even get past the Mall section. The game is still awful and riddled with bugs, and I also despise the new voices and hate that we can't use the originals.

    TL;DR Silent Hill 2 HD on PS3 is imo a viable while not ideal way to experience Silent Hill 2, while Silent Hill 3 HD is still butchered and unplayable.
