About to play the Silent Hill games for the first time! Posted: 28 May 2020 09:14 AM PDT I am about to play the Silent Hill games for the first time (Silent Hill 1 - 3) through emulators on PC. As a horror fan I am extremely hyped! Anything I need to know before I start the first game? [link] [comments]
What exactly is so bad about the HD Collection? Posted: 28 May 2020 07:23 PM PDT So I'm sure this isn't an original question and I'm yet another DBD fan. I've been interested in the Silent Hill series for as long as I can remember but for whatever reason, I've just never gotten around to trying it out. I've heard for awhile that the HD Collection is bad but most of what I hear is just comparing the originals. Like the voice acting not being as good or whatever. But how is it as a first timer to the series? Is it a serviceable way to get into the games without having any point of reference of how much 'worse' they are in comparison to the originals? Is it bad in comparison to the originals or is it just a bad game? The main thing I noticed when looking up videos is the darker lighting but I'm assuming it's a lot more than that. The HD Collection is the most convenient way for me to play the games, I've always been a PlayStation gamer so I'm not gonna go the PC/emulating ways with it and I actually do find it hard to go back to the PS2 nowadays, even when I mess around on some games, it's just really hard to get used to it again. Plus, not gonna lie I am a bit of a trophy whore, so it would be fun to do that as well. Just curious and sorry for barging in, haha. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 May 2020 08:34 AM PDT I've noticed on quite a few posts there is a 60/40 attitude, that the dead by daylight guys are annoying, don't get it and a lot of Criticism towards the crossover in general. (This isn't everyone, I have seen a good few users defend the newcomer's) If you ask me this is an amazing opportunity the franchise and a lot of people had no idea who these characters were. They are now diving into the lore/series and asking you guys questions. I can imagine it's been brutal for this series due to the cancellation of Silent Hill (PT) which is why I think this crossover is fantastic news. Especially since Dead By Daylight is thriving and has been/will be for a long time. Can't we all just get along? Also I understand the strange action to use Heather as the survivor. Things that are as special to you as SH? Posted: 28 May 2020 02:28 PM PDT The second I played silent hill 2 on my cousins original Xbox it became a defining part of me. The musical score would influence my tastes for the rest of my life. The atmosphere would get rooted into my brain and make foggy days the ideal. Everything about it drove my character in directions that still impact me as an adult. What are some other things that have done that for you, besides SH? Stephen King novels, 5 layer burritos from Taco Bell 😂, Death Note, and the art of Andrew Wyeth are right up there for me. [link] [comments]
