In Silent Hill 3, the writing on the CLOSER's head says "南無妙法蓮華経”(like Lotus Sutra).

I'm narrating the first Silent hill from the point of view of Harry Mason, because the game always felt like an unwritten novel to me

I got out of apartments in Silent Hill 2.

Hi friends, new fan here. this is my first Silent hill game.

I know it might be small potatoes to some of ya'll, but it was an achievement to me.

Silent Hill 2 is the most depressing game I've ever played, the atmosphere is so oppressive and haunting that I actually left the game for a week and thought about dropping it cause I literally got depression first time I played it, yet something kept pulling me back, the game is so unique, and I reallly wanted to explore more and do the puzzles.

so after a week hiatus, I got back, and I legitimately dreaded going into apartments and scouring for the three coins, I felt like giving in and using a guide, cause the game's camera and buildings layout gave me anxiety, yet somehow I managed bois! I got the three coins, solved the puzzle, lost like 5 healing items against the pyramid xD and got tf out of apartments and never looked back.

I feel weirdly accomplished! especially that I finally reached the park.

also, I don't know if I suck majorly at the game especially in regards of exploring but I could swear that I kept noticing things change, the building layout, rooms that had monsters in them even though they didn't before, and the rooms that I found the NPCs in, I thought I checked them before and ran into a dead end! I love how the game keeps making me second guess myself, feels like I'm actually descending into madness.

I want to like Silent Hill 3 but it just lacks something that makes it a real slog

    Posted: 08 Nov 2020 11:05 AM PST

I'll start by saying I love the graphics and sound design in this game the most in the series, and the otherworld areas look great.

    But...

I'm replaying it now after 4 years and I'm remembering why I wasn't really enjoying it when I previously played and I think it's the environments and general flow of the game.

It's so just bland. The mall is just a bunch of colourless hallways infested with locks doors. I've just gotten to the splitworm boss and already don't really have much interest in continuing because I remember I need to go through the subway (ugh), then the underpass (ugh), then the construction site (Ugh) before anything remotely interesting happens!

It plays really well but the environments just kill my interest unfortunately.

    Anyone else feel the same?

Do you believe the new rumours?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2020 02:17 PM PST

For those of you who don't know, new rumours have surfaced online regarding the announcement of a (supposedly) upcoming Silent Hill reboot. These "leaks" say that the game will be revealed at the TGA ceremony on December 10th.

My question is: do you believe these rumours? I for sure don't. We've been wandering around all year with the Silent Hill rumours, hinting an announcement at various events (the PS5 June event being the biggest one) but never actually seeing an announcement. At this point, I've completely lost my faith on a new SH game.

How high do you think the chances are, if there are any chances at all?

I just saw a thing on YouTube about how PT was manually blocked from working on the PS5 by Konami. Why must they keep breaking my heart?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2020 07:51 AM PST

There were those rumours of a new SH game that really looked like they might be something only for them to come to nothing. Pyramid Head in Dead by Daylight made me stupidly think the franchise might be preparing for a reemergence. Nothing. And now this which just rubs in that I never got to play PT in the first place. I'm an absolute metal gear fanatic and a lover of the silent hill games, this just hurts me so much to see a company I admired as a child fall so far. I just needed to get this off my chest. Anyone got any good news? At all?
