Breaking the VGA circlejerk for a second: it's important to remember Konami on Twitter said there were no plans for remakes/remasters of Silent Hill. Remember: low-level leakers want to gain followers so they'll make things up. Don't let them sway you. Silent Hill is dead. It's time to let it go.

Please don’t listen to the people calling you naive or stupid for having hope and try to have a nice weekend.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 06:59 AM PST

I'm seeing so many people on this subreddit making posts and commenting about how you're so naive, stupid, foolish, a clown... simply for hoping the rumours were true.

So many people doing nothing but commenting "🤡" when people voice their disappointment.

These people get a kick out of making you feel even worse, making you feel like you were stupid to ever trust the rumours in the first place.

I've never seen so many people hop on their high horse solely because they didn't believe the rumours... I've never seen this subreddit so unbelievably toxic either.

There's nothing wrong with having hope. Since when did somebody being incredibly hopeful and enthusiastic about something they're passionate about be considered wrong? As long as you limit your expectations, your hope can have no bounds.

I need a break from this subreddit, how can we be so divided on something like this? Most of us would love Silent Hill to be revived in some way or another, yet we can't seem to band together when that is looking as unlikely as ever.

Regardless, if you find yourself feeling frustrated or disappointed, just know that you're not alone. I know for a fact that some people are actually quite negatively impacted and deeply upset that we didn't get an announcement yesterday and the last thing they need is somebody saying, "Haha, I told you so! 🤡"

Be civil, be respectful, and understand that despite only being a video game, some can be unexpectedly impacted by the news (or lack there of).

Please don't let your disappointment ruin your weekend. We still got plenty of announcements and I, for one, am really excited about that Dead Space spiritual successor from the original developer.

To whoever the fuck this guy is, stop commenting on every silent hill video and advertising your spit-ball of a game, it isn't official nor is it professional; man has already reeled in a few people with false lies.

Why I feel that Silent Hill will come out eventually.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 08:33 AM PST

Before I start this I know for a fact that any leakers are false. So I'm not saying that you should believe leakers. I do feel that it won't be dead forever. The DBD thing confirmed that the franchise hasn't been forgotten by it's company. And if you really think of it, why would they place SH in a popular game and have new players join for no reason except to make a small amount of money. It definitely isn't enough of money to warrant a full DBD thing. Anyway, a game isn't made in 6 months, I think one may eventually be announced in the near future. With the success of RE Konami wouldn't want to miss out.

Is it still worth it to play silent hill 2 while knowing spoilers?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 03:33 PM PST

Hi guys. I've never played a silent hill game before and have recently gotten a interested in playing the second. I've heard rave reviews and was watching a video in which a guy details why you should play it but ends up revealing without any warning that (SPOILERS) pyramid head is in James' head. I read in a comment something about it helping James but I stopped reading before the comment progressed any further. I'm not sure how much these revelations affect the impact of the story or how validity there is to them, but given that pyramid head is one of the most iconic it seems as though it's pretty significant. My concern is that I'm pretty jumpy when it comes to horror. I love it, don't get me wrong but the entire ride is an anxiety fueled roller coaster. If I end up playing the game and all the impact is somehow taken away or the stakes and suspense are reduced to this knowledge then I don't know if I'll want to buy the game. Is there more to get from this story than this ? Has anybody had a similar experience? I would appreciate any input from you guys. Thanks.
