KatharsisT — OG leaker — confirms Reboot is in a good state and is wrapping up, finally hints that SH sill be revealed at TGA

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 01:34 PM PST

KatharsisT has implied that Toyama has left because the game is in a good state — aligning with previous rumors that the game has already been in development for 2-3 years.

    From ResetEra:

So, I think I need to clarify things a little bit. Toyama directed Silent Hill. The game is still on track and is fine. Japan Studio are still developing it. And I think there's no need to attack me because someone is leaving the studio, even if it's the game director doesn't mean the game doesn't exist or Halo Infinite just got cancelled twice. I think a lot of people here need to calm down to every announcement they hear and stop being extremists. Your hearts will thank me. And don't worry, the game is fine, if Toyama leaves now, it means it's in a healthy situation. Now, I'm gonna stay away until next week. See you at The Game Awards

    Keiichiro Toyama leaves Japan Studio

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 11:39 AM PST

For those of you who haven't heard, Keiichiro Toyama, creator of iconic survival horror franchises such as Silent Hill and Siren, has left Sony's Japan studio to found an independent game studio.

This unavoidably relates to Silent Hill, as it ultimately denies all rumours that have been surrounding the Internet for the past months saying that Toyama was working on a Silent Hill reboot under the umbrella of Konami and Japan Studio itself.

Sad news for the Silent Hill community; it was exciting to fantasize about Toyama returning to work on a new title for his prodigal creation. Nevertheless, it's exciting to think what Bokeh Game Studio (Toyama's new studio) can bring to life in terms of gaming. What do y'all think?
