    Wait.....I can still play PT!

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 10:11 AM PST

My daughter out of the blue asked me If we still had PT installed. I went on to explain to her that I still had it on the system but they deleted it from PSN. So it's unplayable. We decided to boot it up to see what happens. And to my surprise......IT STILL PLAYS PERFECTLY! What gives? I swear I heard that PT was only playable on PS4s that haven't been updated since its removal......

A not-so-subtle nod to SH found in "Lost in Vivo" - a game that anyone on this sub owes it to themselves to play.

    Hi! Three questions about SH2.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:29 AM PST

So I was thinking about this and tried to look some info up but didn't find what I wanted to know. So:

    1. Is Mary's letter, narrated at the end of the game, real? Or is it a manifestation?

    2. About the in-water ending: what does and what doesn't take place? We see a cutscene where James picks Mary up from her bed and puts her in a car. I don't recall it completely but she may have been still alive when James picks her up? Anyways, he commits suicide by driving into the water with her. At the beginning of the game, Mary already is in the trunk of the car though. So I think it makes most sense that the cutscene never took place and he just commits suicide with Mary in his trunk by driving a car into the water?

    3. I really want to believe the in-water ending is canonical, but I heard one guy on Youtube point out that there is NO canonical ending. I just read that in SH4: The Room, Mary and James 'dissapeared' in Silent Hill, so doesn't that make it logical that this is the canonical ending?

Thanks for keeping the community alive and thank you for taking your time to answer :)

Will we ever see again a new SH game?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 05:27 AM PST

Its a long time without a new SH Game...

And if the announce a new one will the manage it to give us a unique experience like the First Trilogy? Whats your opinion of that and how high are the chances that we get a new game?

After RE7 reboot their franchise and show us that Survial Horror is still popular I really hope that Silent Hill will return too as a game and not a pachinko. I also think that Konami should give the license to a other studio because themself doesnt care about the series anymore.

Silent Hills and Death Stranding - A Secret Connection? (SPOILERS)

Plot holes in Silent Hill 2006 movie?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 08:38 AM PST

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, as this seems mostly about the videogames, but my partner and I watched the 2006 movie last night, and he was quite displeased with the plot holes.

I was hoping some of y'all might be able to sort some of this out for us?

    • The Brahams detective. His hands were burned because he touched those scalding hot chains that were suspending Alessa, right? And that happened 30 years before the movie took place, so why is the detective the same age as he was back when the fire happened?

    • Sharon's age, or the timeline in general I guess. Our understanding is that the fire happened 30 years before the movie. That would make Sharon 29 or 30 years old, no (assuming Sharon is the daughter of Alessa and Colin (Colin is a fucking douchebag))? But she is clearly like 9 or something in the movie. What are we missing here?

    • Can someone explain the "night and day" phase thing going on in Silent Hill? It was super cool, but what would cause the night phase to trigger exactly?

    • The big buff daddy with the amazing arms (the demon spawn thing with the metal helmet(?) and the M A S S I V E sword). Why was he not seen disintegrating like all the other spawns were? When he almost killed the cop and Rose, before the day phase came, he backed off, and we never saw him disintegrate like everything else. Why is this?

    • Food. Do these people in Silent Hill eat? That redhead girl we met in the hotel (Anna) was foraging for food a few blocks away from the church, 30 years after they have started hiding there? How is she still finding food? What have these church ppl been eating this whole time? I know they are dead already (right?), but they seem to think they need food, so what gives?

Thank you so so much for any responses. We both think the concept of the movie was absolutely awesome!
