If you are looking for a solid horror game to fill the Silent Hill void, check out Lost In Vivo

It came out on steam about a year ago and it's on sale right now for 7 dollars. It seems to be pretty heavily Silent Hill inspired. I haven't played it myself yet, but I wanted to share before the sale ends. Reviews (94% positive on steam) and this guy sold it to me:

Another horror game that's on sale right now for 8 dollars is Remothered. I've played this one, and it's solid (like a modern Clock Tower). The sequel was announced last E3 too.

When do you think will be the next time we get a survival horror game like silent hill again ?

Only an early stage scene setup, but the aesthetics to silent hill will be added (Paint peeling, rust, thick atmosphere)

I don't think that Silent Hill needs a remake. It is almost perfect

But it needs a serious graphics update. And port to PC. Maybe controls even? But I don't know how controls could be changed in order to work good.

I would not change anything else. Game is excellent in every regard. People say voice acting is bad. No way. If it was not for that kind of voice acting, game would not feel dreamy and mysterious as it was. But I won't deny that it needs some improvements.

I don't know would I like a voice of some other actor other than Harry.

Silent Hill 2: Levels ranked by Difficulty

    Posted: 22 Dec 2019 11:57 PM PST

I just played silent hill 2 for the first time ever and thought I'd shared my list of levels ranked by difficulty in puzzles and navigation.

I hope this inspires a discussion.

    Easiest to Hardest:

    1. The Labyrinth
    2. Toluca Prison
    3. Wood Side Apartments
    4. Lakeview Hotel
    5. Brookhaven Hospital

Brookhaven hospital is the longest level by far if you include the other world section into it. I had the hardest time navigating through this level and figuring out where I had to go. Although it does not contain the hardest puzzle within the game, the bent needle and hair puzzle is pretty elaborate and hard to figure out for first timers.
