    In Silent Hill 3, there's a weeping woman in the chapel praying to god to forgive her for her sins. You can forgive her as heather or just not saying anything. But who is this woman?

    I always thought it was Dahlia, but then i remembered that Dahlia did not care for forgiveness as she was kind of a sociopath and just wanted the one goal of birthing the god within her daughter, which is why she also kept her locked up after she burned her alive.

    She mentions that she killed a child, but which child? And that she wants to see her own daughter in purgatory alongside her, but i can never pinpoint who this person might be. Who is it?

    Otherworld in silent hill 3?

    In sh1, I understood Otherworld and the monsters to be alessa's trauma and anguish, which made sense. In sh2, Otherworld was more muted but still existed, and it was based on James' anger and guilt. In sh3, I'm not entirely sure who made the other world. Is it just heather's fears of birthing this god? Or is the god inside of her making the Otherworld? The pulsating and bleeding walls, the period blood in the bathtub, and the fallic like creatures and shapes lead me to believe it's heathers and Alessa's subconcious, but it could also be Claudia messing with heather.

    Just finished silent hill 3, wanted to share my thoughts.

    I just finished the game, and it was good, but i swear they give you almost no ammo or health drops in this one. I know they wanted to stress melee combat, but some enemies are grounded (the one that appears the most being the little crawling one) and thus incredibly hard to hit with a melee weapon, and sometimes a room spams like three of them in a narrow pathway. it can get frustrating because it makes some exploration annoying. Even if you have bullets, many of the enemies jus take forever to kill. The dog in sh1 took 3 bullets from the handgun. In sh3 on normal, they take 7-8. The big enemy with the bags on his two hands takes forever to kill, too, and the fat enemy is a bullet sponge, as well, and he's much more problematic because blocks the path sometimes and dishes out a lot of damage. I had to look up how to beat Alessa easily because i was having so much trouble with my lack of gunfire and health (blocking with katana makes that fight a joke as I discovered). I know that the hammer is sh1 was overpowered and thus made the game too easy, but i wouldn't have minded some more health pickups in sh3, especially when the enemies in this game are quite fast.

    Also im a bit confused with how old Heather actually is. The birthday phone calls from stanley said she was 31, then 24, but i thought heather was 17 since she's the baby alessa gives you at the end of sh1, and now it's 17 years later, so shouldn't she be 17? Something else i couldn't piece together but i just wanted to understand the timeline of events. So Dahlia raises Alessa for 7 years for the purpose of birthing a god, but then when did she split into cheryl? Was it when Alessa was 14? And did they ever resurrect god prior to silent hill 1? (EDIT: this question was kind of dumb in hindsight).
