Posted: 31 May 2020 02:33 PM PDT In my restless dreams, I see that town.... Silent Hill And it's been a while since everyone has been there... All veterans can do is relive their past visits. Now, I'll be honest, I've only visited that town twice so far, but I feel as passionate as the rest of you of that town. I come here to ask something of all of you: I want you to at least consider hoping and praying for these rumors of a Silent Hill game on the horizon to be true. It pains me to see how hollow this community is, and there's something currently proposing hope, and I'm not saying you don't have any reason to be, but you're skeptical. But if there's even the SLIGHTEST possibility of us being able to visit that town again, that should at least be reason to hope and pray for it to be true. As we march closer to June 4, the day of this PS5 reveal stream, I ask that we cross our fingers, hope and pray that the suffering is over, that we can finally get our tickets, our train rides, boat rides, or whatever kind of rides we need....... So that we can see our beloved town of Silent Hill again. And not just veteran visitors, but perhaps even a new generation can experience that town for what it really is. We've been gone for too long, and lots of people are saying similar things regarding these rumors. So let's join hands on June 4 and pray that these aren't just simple rumors, that we can TRULY visit that town again. That town has a place in all of our hearts, and all I could ever want for this kind and gentle community of individuals is happiness. So let's all wish one another good fortune for the future of this town we love so much, the town of Silent Hill. [link] [comments]
In SH1, are the side characters real/alive? Posted: 31 May 2020 09:12 AM PDT I was watching a video on Lisa Garland's character and someone in the comments mentioned how Lisa was dead for a while and she's from Alessa's memories, not actually there. Is this true? I'm confused. [link] [comments]

What's your dream Silent Hill comeback? Posted: 31 May 2020 10:32 AM PDT Forget about the possible soft reboot we may be getting for a second. If it was up to you to outline Silent Hill's ultimate comeback on new technologies, what area of the IP would you want to explore? Would you focus on the cult? Or maybe focus on the town itself as an entity? I think ideally I'd want a sort of blending of the 2 concepts like Silent Hill 3, how it focused on both Heather growing up while also giving a bit of the cult action without undermining the main character's journey. I'd have the main character be the son of some low level cult member that never really knew what he was doing by following his parents' cultist paths, but still always abode blindly to the cult's ways. He would slowly discover the truth about his parents' motivations, and ultimately Silent Hill itself, while also facing the demons of his family's cultist paths. How about you? [link] [comments]
What is the best newer (non TS) Silent Hill game? Posted: 31 May 2020 11:08 AM PDT I'm currently playing through SH2 on PC with the Enhanced Edition and enjoying it even though I'm usually not into horror games. By my estimation I'm probably a little more than halfway through the game. I'm definitely going to play the other OG games over the next couple of weeks, but I will probably want a little palate cleanser between 2 and 3. I've heard everything past 4 is dogshit, but I'm curious to see for myself how different it is. What's your personal favorite of the newer generation of Silent Hill games? [link] [comments]
Team Silent’s daylight horror for SH5 Posted: 31 May 2020 03:34 AM PDT I sometimes think how that could have worked in creating horror effectively. But if you look at the cinematography in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I imagine it could have been extremely unsettling if done like that, with eerie yellow and orange skies. We find safety, comfort and joy in the sun. I think Team Silent wanted to create a game that eliminated those feelings, making the daytime feel and look disturbing and depressing. You can thank Konami for binning that and the development team. https://www.resetera.com/threads/lets-clear-this-up-team-silent-was-making-a-silent-hill-5-and-it-and-they-got-canned-by-konami.61131/ [link] [comments]

If Akira Yamaoka wasn't able to make music for a new Silent Hill, who would you want in his place? Posted: 31 May 2020 08:15 PM PDT I'd definitely say Aphex Twin, I feel like he'd definitely be able to replicate the moody atmospheres and harsh nightmare noises present in Silent Hill. Posted: 31 May 2020 08:03 PM PDT I recently moved to Maine (from elsewhere in New England) about 2 years ago to live with my partner. With the pandemic going on I had a lot of time and decided to get into some of my favorite old series again, one of them being Silent Hill obviously. Turns out SH takes place in Maine, I didn't even know all this time lol. My partner and I also have a newfound hobby of exploring abandoned places (we are white and it's in our DNA, what can I say) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any spooky abandoned places to check out in this state that are reminiscent of Silent Hill. We already went to this church a while back (not my video). Any ideas are appreciated, tyia! [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 May 2020 07:15 PM PDT Recently discovered that it is possible to redownload it but the current methods don't seem to work for me. It's most likely something wrong on my end but if anybody could help, I'd really appreciate it. [link] [comments]
Random little thing I always noticed in Downpour Posted: 31 May 2020 11:40 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g5Q2cdFaug at 14:46 when Murphy says "take it easy" he sounds like a completely different person? I don't know what the VA sounds like normally but I guess he dropped the voice for a second and they decided not to do a second take? lol [link] [comments]
Your scariest moment in the series? Posted: 31 May 2020 06:14 PM PDT For me, mine is the bathroom in the prison for SH2. Those who know what I'm talking about... What's a moment that made any of you turn the game off or take a long break? [link] [comments]
