    Downpour missed opportunity

    I was replaying Downpour and it dawned on me that we never had a chance to explore the town during nighttime. The closest thing we got to nighttime was when it rained but that was more of a purple filter than anything and it didn't last long. The devs could have taken advantage of this by using the weeping bats and dolls during this time period and leaving the players to decide if they should take shelter until sunrise or stay outside in the darkness.

    This would have been a perfect callback to SH2 when James explored the town in the darkness after leaving the hospital but fleshed out more since Downpour's version of the town is bigger.

    How do I play these games other than the HD collection

    I really want to play the silent hill games but it appears that my only option is the HD collection. The physical copies cost way to much. The only console I own is a ps4. I do have a PC but the PC ports are even more expensive. Will I really have to just settle for the HD collection?

    Honestly, out of all the Silent Hill games so far (I'm at the point where you gain access to being able to explore the town) this one feels like it has the best combat, as I legitimately feel screwed when there's multiple enemies (Though to be fair, I have a habit of killing everything in sight in horror games if I have the option of fighting). Not to mention resources do actually feel decently scarce. If only this game was actually optimized properly, this could be a decent experience, I've only experienced one crash so far but one crash is a crash too many, not to mention the very noticeable frame drops at times that has at times given me the idea that an enemy has spawned in nearby.

    If these problems were fixed, I know what my worst Silent Hill game is, but so far it's a sort of frustrating experience but it does give me hope for the game, will give an update when I finish it.

    As I was stumbling home at 2AM this night listening to some of my favorite tracks from the series it occurred to me that in my current state I'd probably be some mildly off putting character someone else would happen upon.

    "Monsters? What...What monsters?" Or some such. Hopefully I'd make it but either way I hope I'd feature in one of the good entries!

    Anyways. What do yall think?

    Silent Hill Cover Song - Cradle of Forest

    Hi everyone, I'm a passionate Silent Hill fan from the early days when it came out on PS1..
