    Just to clear up some things about Silent Hill PS5, from what I know. 100% things: -In 2018 Konami shopped around with different studios for two pitches to fund development of a reboot & an episodic Silent Hill game. I knew this from a personal friend & an email from from someone seperately. Neither got the job, but I know this as fact.

    -In late 2019, a seperate close friend in Japan informed me a Silent Hill game was being developed in Japan that had started dev at the start of 2019. I started doing some personal investigation from this, a lot of dead ends, but others collaborated this & I did learn about something else which helped later, but promised not to talk about it.

    I seperate this part of the story as all of that is stuff I can 100% verify. The rest I believe & have been shown solid evidence, but the following I have evidence to believe, but I can't verify the details (but it is from someone who would know & I verified their identity). So to lay the detaila of this put straight:

    -It is developed by Sony Japan Studios & will be PS5 exclusive.

    -Toyama is directing, Akira Yaomoka is composing, Masahiro Ito is doing art, various Siren/Gravity Rush devs & some others working on it.

    -This has nothing to do with Kojima or Silent Hills, that probably is not happening.

    -Sony is NOT buying IPs, that's bullshit.

    -The game is NOT a remake, it is a soft reboot, made so it can be someone's first SH game.

    -The game is playable & has a demo that will be shown around after reveal.

    -The details of this are not murky, there should be no miscommunication.

    Just to lay that all out, if all true (I believe it though).

    Looking for a Song

    I've had a song stuck in my head for a while and can't remember its name. I feel like it's from silent hill, and the more I think about it the more I'm sure it is, but I can't seem to find it in any of the soundtracks I've combed through online.

    It starts out slow and builds with some industrial sounding instruments until all the other instruments cut except for this rhythmic mechanical "ka-chunk" sound goes on for a bit. It sort of sounds like a clock. I've found some songs that sound like it ("Betrayal" from Silent Hill 2) but I can't find this one specific song. If you could help me out it would be much appreciated.

    Petition to pin a thread-guide to play the best versions of SH games.

    I have seen many threads and questions about what is the best way to play SH series, (mainly the early games) i know the HD collection is the easiest way to play some of those games, but with a lot of technical issues.

    There are other ways like the PC versions with mods or fixes, or the emulated PS2 versions.

    Maybe we can put a guide together for that purpose, with links and some directions, as long we don't share links to console bios and game isos, i think all that stuff is legal, right? if anyone knows more about this topic any input will be helpful.

    If this is possible, i can help with some games that i have tested in Windows 10 x64 (i tested some of these games on two computers), like SH 1 on three PS1 emulators, SH 2 Enhanced Edition, SH 2 on PSCX2, SH 3 PC with fixes, SH 3 on PCSX2, SH 4 PC with a fix and SH Homecoming Steam version with an all in one patch.

    I just fired up my best friends PS2 that he left here at my place a few months ago trying to play a used copy of SH3 I bought at gamestop 4-5 years ago. It worked fine but the game immediatly told me that there was no space on the memory card left so I restarted the console without the disk to delete some saves off my own memory card that I still had laying arround. But when I tried to fire up the game after that the console refused to read the disk even though it worked fine before. Already tried other games (Some Naruto stuff from my friend) and they all worked fine, just not my SH3 even though it worked literally minutes before. Anyone got any Idea what I can try to do ?
