A while ago, I bought the Greatest Hits edition for SH2. The bright red ruins the whole collection imo. I might just print out a black label to cover it up.

    Is Angela Dead?!?

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 02:37 PM PDT

Since we're still in a somewhat lockdown and working remotely, it seems I've got too much time on my hands lol. Thought of this theory, tell me what you think?

Do you think Angela is actually dead? Like she committed a murder suicide. Killed her brother and father, and because her mother was (fairly) innocent, she was called to Silent Hill after being consumed by guilt.

To start with James first encounters her in a graveyard In what is quite an ethereal scene, she's obsessed with suicide but can't help to bring herself to do it, fleeing leaving the knife behind, finally she ascends the stairs to heaven once realising that what she did is kinda justified, she isn't like James. I think she is trapped in purgatory similar to the titular character in Jacobs Ladder, she like the protagonist of the movie also doesn't know she is dead. As James shows compassion and care to her (something which has been absent her entire life) the cycle of being a lost soul is somehow broken?!? (Clutching at straws I know) Similar to the way that lost souls in purgatory, once prayed for by loved ones can ascend to heaven.

Most likely not true but it makes you think, and it's another kinda interesting way to look at a timeless classic. What do you think peeps??

    Silent Hill Fact #1

Trying to find the name of a soundtrack from Silent Hill 2's OST (apartments)

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 01:29 PM PDT

I've been trying to find it on YT but so far no luck, I don't know the name which doesn't help me either. It plays when you get to the top flight of stairs in the Woodside Apartments - it's this ominous beating/drumming sound with a faint rusty grind that periodically appears, like a metal fan squealing. There's a scene in the movie where it plays too. Any ideas?
