    Recently asked my dad to look through some old boxes and see what old PS1 games he still had from my childhood, as I just bought a new PS1 and wanted to play some of them again....He sent me a list and among them was an absolutely pristine copy of SH1. Felt like I hit the jackpot

    After playing a good amount of Dead by Daylight, the Silent Hill Chapter roused my interest in the games and would like some tips on how I can play the games without dumping a lot of money into a classic PS1 and PS2 and the games themselves, all of which are sort of collectors items nowadays and can go for a lot of money. I'm not looking for these as a collector but as someone who is interested in the lore and gameplay of the games. I am mostly looking for some tips on the early games of the main series (1, 2, 3, maybe 4 and later). Any help is appreciated.

    I'm not Rely on Horror's source but I heard the same thing. So we're at least 3 sources who've heard the same thing.

    That's why I'm not hyping this one like the previous ones. It's better to have the surprise and if it's not here we're not (at least less) disappointed. But hopefully, it's revealed on December 10.

    If I like well-crafted worlds and environments, will these games be ok for me?

    I'm sometimes very picky about some of the games I play and I've learned over time that I really like games that have a very meaty world with a lot of substance and detail in them. I'm not too big on story unless I just go in blind, but I was just wondering if these games will be cool for me. I haven't played any of the games so this could help me what to expect.

    I just finished Silent Hill 1 the other day and I want to continue playing the saga, I read in some places that I should play Silent Hill 3 now and then Silent Hill 2, anyways, I also read about a completely different order: SH1 - SH2 - SH3. I don't know if I should go for 2 or 3 first, what do you recommend?

    Silent Hill 1 save on PS3

    I'm sure this has been asked many many times on here, but I've had to play through the first half of the game three times at this point because I can't figure out to save the game. I bought a digital copy of the game because I'm broke.

    I hardly ever play on the ps3 so I know nothing about it.

    EDIT the guys on r/residentevil (SpiralintoMadness) were kind enough to help me find the sound. it is from silent hill three. https://youtu.be/1O4l8vTwL2A?t=1 this is the sound. what is this sfx used for? anyways, needle in the haystack found.

    I already foresee being made fun of for the title and my request but I broke my cell phone and i made the notification sound a really cool sound that was either from the resident evil series or the silent hill series. There is a possibility it is from another PSX or survival horror in general, that I cannot put my thumb on but I am almost positive that this SFX is from one of the two games I have mentioned. It's a sound that is used (im pretty sure about this) as a menu navigation indicator. Could be the save sound, could be like when you move around a cursor if that's in silent hill or something, could be literally a plethora of things and I am very aware how silly this probably is to read. Because of how ridiculous this post is, if you actually managed to get through this 5am obscure stoner reddit post and find the sound I am looking for, I will do something kind in return like give you reddit gold or like make a beat for you on fl studio or something. Another hint, the sound is extremely short, no less than a second of actual noise. I have spent now 5 hours watching silent hill and resident evil gameplay simultaneously listening for this sound effect and cannot find it, so If anyone has any links to sound packs that I have not already downloaded I would be super grateful because I know that this sound effect exists, it's a really cool notification sound, and I'm coming off of a high and I feel like I'm having a Mandela effect moment and I would like to go to sleep knowing that I didn't just troll a bunch of people online. Thanks in advance, even if you just read this because I'm sure my post is a grammatical mess. Also it could be any of the games in the series of either of those two series god I hope I can find this sound my friends are going to make fun of me for this one...
